Transformers Universe opens up first come, first served beta signups

Do you want to be in the first wave of Transformers Universe testing? Then go sign up right now. No, don’t finish reading the rest of this article, sign up right this moment. The first beta event is apparently taking place this weekend, March 15th and 16th, and invitations are being handed out according to the highly advanced metric of “the first people who ask for it get it.” So go sign up, we’ll be here when you get back.

If you don’t get in, you can still entertain yourself with two new character reveals past the cut. Front-Line is a big old hulk of an Autobot warrior with twin axes, a chaingun, and a massive hammer for use against the Decepticons. Conduit, meanwhile, takes care of the Deception medical needs while also providing fire support with his ranged rifle. You can take a look at both videos embedded just past the break.

The time is drawing ever nearer. The time to test your metal. The time when Transformers Universe opens the doors to a select few for an exclusive, early Closed Beta that begins this weekend. This first wave of closed, early access Beta play is strictly controlled and players will need to sign up NOW to be a part of it. This is genuinely a strictly limited opportunity to be amongst the first group of players in the world to get hands-on with the brand new Transformers Universe experience.

And, to help whet players’ appetites even more, Jagex are introducing two brand new transformers warriors before the Closed Beta kicks off — Front-Line and Conduit. These new transformers characters are exclusive to Transformers Universe and the only way gamers will be able to get to play them is to be a part of the Closed Beta program that kicks off over the weekend.

So just who are these new characters that fans will be able to take charge of and wreak havoc with? First up is Front-Line, a big Autobot brawler. He’s the first in, and the last out, of any fight. He’s a slugger with an instinct for mayhem. Armed with a mini-gun, axe and hammer attack, this is a bot that definitely shouldn’t be messed with. Conduit is a Decepticon who is part healer and part killer. He’s fully in touch with his darker side and, while able and primed to heal and keep his allies fighting for the cause, there’s no mistaking the lethality of his attacks.

If players want to be a part of the Closed Beta program, they can sign up now. Closed Beta goes live over the weekend of March 15 & 16, and entry is strictly limited to a first come, first served basis. For those lucky enough to make it in, a whole new Universe awaits you…

Money making tips in RS Fishing and Woodcutting

Earlier we’ve introduced Mining skill (one of the Big Three) for money, now let’s see the other two of the Big Three skills for money-making: Fishing and Woodcutting.

Fishing is a very productive skill. Lobsters, swordfish, monkfish and sharks are among the best sellers in the fish market. Bear in mind, in order to fish monkfish, members have to complete Swan Song quest first. Lobsters and swordfish are the only money-making fish in F2P world. It is quite risky to catch them. To avoid such risk, we recommend you to fish on Musa Point (Karamja). In addition to selling your fish, you can also exchange them for bank notes from Stiles at south of the volcano. But Stiles only accept lobster, swordfish and tuna.

Raw fish sells most money so better keep it that way. However if you are practicing Cooking skill, cooked fish sells even more.

The last great skill for earning money is Woodcutting. Members should be cutting maples to get started, and then Yews when you are experienced enough. At the time you reach level 85 or higher in Woodcutting, magic logs will become your best choice. The short coming of cutting magic logs is very time-consuming to fill up an inventory. For non-member players the choices are oak, willow and yew logs. There is a big demand in oak logs and oak planks because people into Construction skills always need them. You can either sell the oak logs directly or make them into oak planks yourself and sell them at a higher price.

You will find the following places ideal for chopping Yew logs: south of Falador, behind Varrock’s Castle, South of Edgevile bank, south of Seers Village, and near the Legends Guild. We also recommend two locations with Magic trees to cut and a bank near them: south of the Seers bank, and near the agility course at the Gnome Stronghold.
